1. How do I pay for my electricity?
- The ESB deposit of €275 is payable as part of the Booking/Security/ESB/Utilities deposit. A statement of usage will be supplied at the end of every two months. Apartments are metered as a unit and the residents of any particular unit are apportioned a share of the ESB bills. If at the end of the academic year, ESB usage exceeds €275, then the student pays the balance. If less is used, the difference will be refunded.

3. What do the bedrooms come with?
- Single bed / Double bed with mattress protector
- Wardrobe

- Chair & Study Desk
- Desk Lamp

4. What is a Twin Room?
- A twin room is where two students share a room with two beds and two study areas. If the room is En-suite the students have their own private bathroom. Much thought has been put into the twin rooms in Centrepoint to maximize privacy.
5. How are roommates allocated?
- When filling out your application form, if there are particular people you wish to share with you must indicate this on your form. Centrepoint staff will endeavour to satisfy your requirements but this is subject to availability and subject to all people paying their deposits and 1st Moieties in full. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to facilitate all requests.
Otherwise housemates will be allocated taking consideration of gender, academic year, age and course. Again we cannot guarantee that we will be able to facilitate all requests.
6. When are the final dates for payment of 1st & 2nd Moiety?
- Your first moiety must be received by 2pm 23rd August 2010. Your 2nd moiety must be paid in full by 2pm 7th December 2010. Your room and booking deposit will be forfeited if payment is not received by this date.
7. Do I have to leave the apartment at holidays?
- No, once you pay for your room that room has been allocated for the entire academic year.
8. What documentation do I need to complete to secure my place in Centrepoint?
- You must send the security deposit/booking deposit with your application form. A copy of the letting agreement will be forwarded to you in August for your signature together with a guarantor form. This must be signed by your guarantor, witnessed and returned to us. Receipt of your 1st moiety payment prior to the closing date will complete your application. When you arrive to take up residence at Centrepoint on or after the check in date in September, on production of your receipt of payment you will be issued with your accommodation details, your FOB key and full inventory checklist that must be returned to the office within 2 days of collection of your key.
9. What happens if I pay for accommodation and fail to get a place at NUIG?
- In the case where a student has paid in full for their accommodation and fails to be offered a place at NUIG, a cancellation fee of €100 will be deducted and the balance refunded.
10. Can I obtain my apartment number or roommate’s details before I check in?
- No, all of this information will be given to you when you check in.
11. What is the Academic Letting Period?
- Students have their rooms for the full 38-week academic letting period, which runs from September 4th 2010 to 27th May 2011.
